Product Details
Released by Fairchild Semiconductor International in 1968. John Schmidt designed a 64-bit Static RAM at Fairchild in 1964. With the work of many others, including Israeli-born American Zeev Droori, the multichip quickly replaced magnetic core technology for a computer's main memory. The active semiconductor memory (SAM) 1024-bit multichip plane used 16 chips bonded face-down to a 1.5-inch ceramic substrate.Embroidery thread, glass beads on polycotton 14” x 14” framed
