NET ZERO #1 - 7

a series of mixed-media works that investigate the relationship between materiality, energy, and transformation. Layers of paper collage, paint, and pen establish a visual field that is overlaid with translucent tulle embroidered with intricate stitched forms. The suspended layers create shifting spatial relationships as light passes through the work, inviting the viewer to look beyond the surface.

Drawing on contemporary industrial embroidery technology, the stitched imagery transforms digital information into tactile form. Precision embroidery intersects with expressive collage and mark-making, blurring the boundaries between technology and the handmade, structure and intuition.

The title Net Zero speaks to a state of equilibrium—a point where opposing forces are held in balance. Together, the layered surfaces and embroidered networks evoke invisible systems of connection, suggesting that transformation occurs not through certainty but through continual adjustment, balance, and release.
