The intention of the workshop is self-healing and personal empowerment.

HAND STITCHING

Length of Workshop: 2 hours
Student Experience Level: All levels beginner to advanced
Maximum number of students: 15

Your Instructor: Dr. Simone Paterson

I am a visual artist who works with textiles and technology. I create sculptures and embroideries with a particular interest in how energy flows throughout our bodies and within machine systems. I firmly believe that art, the practice of making, and the viewing of art, can make a significant contribution to our health and wellbeing. For millennia stitching has been a way to heal. Repetitive action brings balance to mind and body.
